photoblog image Getting his daily dose of information

Nothing really special about this vegetable seller except that in India one is under the misconception that most poor people are illiterate, but whe I wander around the market especially in the afternoons when business is slow I see this more and more. hawker and peddlers reading the papers, it is true that they are not very fluent in english but then literacy is not about being able to read or write in English but just read and write in any language. This is a market in Pune Maharashtra and the man is reading the paper in the local language marathi.

I have enjoyed your pictures, a glimpse of a country that most of us know too little about. Thank you. I hope you show us many more
